Danish minimalists Norse Projects have included these hunter earflap and five-panel hats to their accessory line for the colder months. Using an array of thicker materials and restrained grey and black colorways, each model is finished with the simple branding Norse Projects are famous for. All three releases are now available from Goodhood.
Taking one of their classic sneaker models and experimenting with different materials, Nike has created a marine-friendly Nike Dunk Hi. Appropriately named the Aquadunk Hi and inspired by wetsuits, the sneaker’s upper features neoprene material to absorb contact with water and a back-zip for easy on/off. There are currently two models available – a gray high-top with a white sole and another that is black with a matching sole. Both are now available at colette.
Norse Projects continue to release accessories at a steady rate from their fall/winter line for this year. Up here is a wool/linen blend scarf in a Tartan check in Picante blue. Simple though the design may be, the colorway is certainly something a little more outlandish than we are perhaps used to. Traditional minimal branding once more makes an appearance on this “Dalvik” scarf, which is available now through Goodhood.
Having already proved to be a popular item in Billionaire Boys Club‘s expansive range, the Japanese-American brand is back with another tailored jacket. Opting for a restrained olive colorway with subtly contrasting tonal stripes, the coat resembles the ubiquitous Parka jackets that will no doubt make in several forms this autumn/winter. The jacket features two golden, oval-shaped buttons which is a gentle nod to the space beach graphic which is also featured on the forefront of the jacket. The jacket is finished with no less than four matching gold buttons on the cuffs, with a traditional blazer style collar and the trademark Billionaire Boys Club front pockets, emulating a Harvard style blazer. Look out for this one at Billionaire Boys Club stores soon and already in the Tokyo flagship.
New Balance has retro fitted the classic BB680 for cold-weather outdoor activities. The one-time basketball kick is now mountain ready with galvanized metal eyelets, braided boot style laces, and a rugged all purpose sole. The shoes are offered in a classic nubuck tan, and a brushed suede purple iteration. Both versions are set to drop in October at select New Balance distributors across South East Asia.
OriginalFake work up a new graphic t-shirt, produced for the latest project between KAWS and Medicom Toy. The tee follows a familiar hand-drawn design scheme, pairing KAWS’ unique style and the iconic Pinocchio character. Two colorways will be made available through select OriginalFake retail accounts, including Invincible.
Heavily rooted in streetwear, Japanese brand Masterpiece continues that trend as we take a look into its latest lookbook offering. Reflecting a core street style, Fall/Winter offers up staples such as down jackets, vests, camo parkas, chinos, denim, hoodies, and accessories, all taking on generous fits and styles, nostalgic of classic urban garments.
Following a preview earlier in the year, the collaboration between outdoors label Filson and Vans Vault begins to hit retail accounts. Made with Filson’s trademark canvas and bridle leather, the collection fuses rich skate history with the great outdoors. Included in the pack is a rucksack, SK8-HI LX, and 46 LX. Originally previewed around this time last year, Medicom Toy finally announces an exact release date for the latest colorway in the toymaker’s My First Bearbrick Baby series. Taking on a black and silver colorway, the design follows a concept developed by Japanese actress Chiaki Kuriyama, featuring a black body, clear midsection, and silver detailing. A release is set for September 4th, 2010 via Isetan Shinjuku, with a retail price of ￥29,400 (Approx. $345 USD).
Patta’s latest collaborative project is a team-up with Canada’s Reigning Champ, the in-house brand of the CYC Design factory, known for great design, fit and quality sweaters, hoodies, fleece and shirts. Patta and Reigning Champ have created a set of heavyweight Canadian fleece garments, which consists of a custom zip hood jacket and fleece sweatpants. The jacket features subtle details such as thermal lining, button overlay and detachable split zip hood, while the sweatpants feature adjustable draw cord waist and bottom cuffs and side pockets/back welt pocket with zip closure. Both garments feature military-inspired cross-brand labeling. 2 colorways in all: dark navy and heather grey. The sets are limited to 75 pieces per color worldwide and scheduled to release at Patta on Saturday, September 4th, 2010, with a retail price of 250.00 Euro per set. Other selected retailers include 24Kilates, Colette, Foot Patrol, Hanon, Norse and Soto. All will have the set available on Saturday, September 11th, 2010.
A name that still resonates among the skate community, Christian Hosoi had the honor of designing a special colorway for the Vans Syndicate collection this season. Based on the Bash model made popular by WTAPS collaborations of the past, the colorways are signature Hosoi with a focus on black and red. The uppers are marked by different tonal contrasting materials including suede, perforated leather and quilted leather. Available now at Caliroots.

In more recent lights, Puma footwear has been characterized by its highlighter like colorways and eye popping shaded combinations, but on occasion, you just need to take it back to the classics. The Suede model from Puma has been a staple for the company for quite some time now and keeps it ever so easy to match with the monochromatic upper. Also utilizing the lazy footwear aficionado’s favorite aspect, the velcro straps. I mean who really ties laces any more anyways? Nonetheless, the Suede, which is set to hit retailers this October, will be released in four suede colorways and two additional leather pieces. Hit the jump to view the assortment.
The Dell Thunder made its first appearance nearly a week ago and now Engadget has a hands-on video with a couple of engineering test units. Specs are being reported that match previous leaks which include a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, 4.1″ OLED screen, 512 MB ROM, 512 MB RAM, 8 MP camera, 720p video capture, and a 1,400 mAh battery. Overall the device sounds pretty similar to the Dell Streak 5-inch tablet, although it will clearly be marketed as a phone and include a more traditional phone UI. One prototype was running Android 1.6 while the other had Android 2.1 installed, but it will likely be on 2.2 with Dell’s “Stage UI” by launch. It also appears the Thunder could launch on both GSM and CDMA carriers. The original leak suggested it would appear on AT&T in Q4, but now it is suggested a version with AWS support could go to T-Mobile and a dual-mode phone could indicate a Verizon launch. I believe Dell is desperately trying to get on as many carriers as possible, so it makes sense they would have prototypes for each of them. Check out the video and let us know what you think. For the upcoming Winter footwear season Stamp’d LA collaborated with Taz Arnold and his TI$A label on three simple sneakers. Sporting canvas uppers and vulcanized soles, the print on each is sure to catch the eye of passers by. The Get $ shoe owns a Gucci-esque toe box and repeat print on the midfoot, while the Double FF and Go Hard rely on all-over prints. Not sure yet on the release date of these but they will available at REVIVE.
After the successful release of Air Jordan II (2) in University Blue last week, Jordan Brand announced today some more colorful entries to come on its line-up, the deliciously colored Air Jordan II (2) Candy Pack. In Skittle-esque colorways of solid green, yellow, and red, each with contrast black accents and lacing for good measure, set to drop October 30th right before Halloween.
#Heat popular Dutch artist/illustrator Parra and Converse. Part of the (RED) campaign, the shoes feature a beige suede upper with Parra’s cherry character immortalized in an embroidered all-over motif. Look out for a release soon through finer Converse accounts

JG represents a new brand launched on behalf of GB Skins’ director Keisuke Baba. Their initial offerings are two leather jackets created with robust leathers and some authentic touches as a reference to the classics they’re molded after. JG’s early branding is applied to each respective sleeve via patches. A double-riders style and a lined bomber style are two extensions of GB Skins’ British street and military-inspired approach.
